"Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives."  William Foster

Since I was a child I have always loved animals and wanted to do my part to contribute to the evolution of animal husbandry. Like most kids I started with the family dogs which quickly turned into exotic birds and fish as well. My parents were very supportive and even helped me get an intern position at the local Veterinary Clinic while I was in High School.  It was 2013 when I received my 1st reptiles, 2 Pink Belly Side-Necked turtles, a male and female. While taking care of them I got married and started a family.  I wanted to educate and acclimate my children in regards to snake safety. I researched and found the Ball Python (Python Regius) as a great snake for beginners. After a few months I found myself devoting most of my spare time to researching husbandry, morphs, and rat breeding. As I learned my addiction grew  and our family pets turned into a hobby for me. One day my intuition to teach them snake safety came to pass when my daughters ran into the garage and identified a Copper head at the entrance as a "poisonous" snake. They saw the triangle shaped head and knew it was a viper.

Ball Python Information

Ball pythons, also known as royal pythons, hail from Central and West Africa and are one of the most popular pet pythons due to their manageable size, docility, and diverse colors and patterns. Their name comes from their unique defensive behavior of rolling into a tight ball to protect themselves from predators, a trait unique to this species. Despite their defensive nature, they are calm once acclimated to their surroundings and can live up to 30 years, making them ideal long-term pets.
